The Firm was established in the year 1979 with the merger of Hobson & Chatoor (est.1950) and Laurence, Narinesingh & Co. (est.1964). Our Firm’s specialty areas of practice are in Banking, Conveyancing, Corporate and Litigation.

Areas of Practice
Real Estate.
Real Estate transactions are one of our major specialty areas whether by way of conveyance, mortgages, assignments of mortgage, contractual debts, debentures, and sale or lease of land, townhouses, etc. We are and have been the Attorneys for land developers - residential, commercial and industrial – throughout Trinidad & Tobago.
Banking.
One of our other specialty areas is the drafting and the perfecting of the Bank’s security documents. We represent all the major lending institutions in negotiations where and when required in lending transactions.
Litigation.
Our firm provides litigation services in the areas specified below as well as other areas such as contentious Probate and Administration proceedings. Our service in litigious matters encompasses a full range of commercial litigation practice.
Bankruptcy, Insolvency, & Workouts.
Over the years we have represented several lending institutions in, inter alia, contentious and non-contentious bankruptcy, insolvency, and voluntary and compulsory winding- up proceedings etc.
Broker Dealer Regulation.
Our practice in this area extends to providing legal advice to our clients participating in the financial markets in Trinidad and Tobago on The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange Limited and dealing with issues related to securities trading and related regulatory issues.
Collections.
We are engaged in collection for clients to the extent of issuing demand letters and/or pre-action protocol letters with follow up legal action and recovery by way of enforcement of judgments. From time to time we advise private investigators where means and assets investigations are carried out on behalf of our client.
General Corporate.
We advise and represent all our corporate clients, which include major financial institutions, in general corporate matters.

ATTORNEY AT LAW FOR ITS CONVEYANCING DEPARTMENT IN SAN FERNANDO
REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a Bachelor of Law Degree, Legal Education Certificate or LPC and must be called to the
Bar of Trinidad and Tobago with at least 2 - 3 years of experience in the relevant field.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with an acute ability to communicate effectively both orally and in
writing.
An ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
A high degree of professional ethics and integrity.
LEGAL SECRETARY FOR ITS LITIGATION DEPARTMENT IN SAN FERNANDO
REQUIREMENTS:
Possess at least 2 - 3 years of experience in the relevant field.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with an acute ability to communicate effectively both orally and in
writing.
Must possess strong analytical and grammar skills and demonstrate excellent verbal and written
communication skills
An ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
A high degree of professional ethics and integrity.
